Q. What is HUBL?
A. This site was first set up early 2003 to help promote the music scenes in Moray and Highlands, and since has flourished into a bands list with over 150 bands, and regular visits by its 450 registered members. HUBL.co.uk is a non-profit website solely dedicated to promoting bands online and at dedicated showcase gigs. This site was updated in May 2007 to the current version you see now. Please visit the many other sections the site has to offer, it has everything from band profiles, galleries, dedicated forum and video clips.

Q. How do I become a Member?
A. To become a member simply click the register link at the very top of this page. A form will load asking you for your details. You will be required to fill in an image field too ? this is to stop automated programs from signing up to the site.
Once you have completed the form click "Join HUBL" and information will be emailed to you with your password.

Q. What are the advantages of becoming a Member?
A. Becoming a member opens up many features in the site that are unavailable to guests. Members are able to add bands to the bands list, and add comments on many things such as bands, reviews, images and news stories. Members also gain the ability to post on the sites forum.

Q. What are the "Ads by Google" links for at the top of the site?
A. These are advertisement links placed on the site by Google. These ads help fund the hosting costs to keep the site online. If any of the ads are interesting to you please click one to help HUBL out.
Please note that the Google search box at the bottom of the site also benefits HUBL.

Q. How can I delete my band from HUBL?
A. Please contact an admin and they will permanently remove your band from the site.

Q. Someone has written a bad review of my band! Can I have it removed?
A. Generally it depends on the review. Only reviews giving real opinions and positive constructive criticism would be added to the site. Someone not liking your band would not be a case to have the review removed as it is their personal opinion. However if the review is unfair, and you have proof that someone has written a bad review to spite you, or written untrue facts - the review will be considered for deletion.

Q. How can I add a forum avatar?
A. Firstly make sure you are logged in. Click "Edit Account" at the top of this page and scroll down to point 2 "Member Details". There is an option named Avatar. Simply click the browse button and select the image you would like as an avatar. Please note that the image must be 100x100 pixels and in jpg format only.

Q. On comments and the forum, what does it mean by "Insert smiley at cursor" and "Insert BBcode at cursor"?
A. The options to the right of making a new comment or forum post allow you to personalise your message with a smiley or by styling your text. For example if you wanted to make some text bold you would add tags before and after the text that you wanted to be bold - [b]Bold text[/b].
